Valanchery: A student’s honesty has paved way for the owner to get back the jewelry that was lost ten years back. Ashima, a third standard student of the Painkannur government UP school found a chain of five and half sovereign at a canal near Vengad while taking bath a week back. Soon she handed it over to her mother and started the search for the owner. Since owner couldn’t be found, a notice was put up at the nearby shops mentioning the lost jewelry. Finally, a family turned up with evidences of their long lost chain. The chain was given back in the presence of Moorkanad panchayat president K Rajagopal. A special function was arranged at the school for congratulating Ashima.
